Tattoos

  • Keep 2nd skin on for 3 days (there will be excess ink secreted from the skin that will be be trapped under the film-this is normal)

  • On 3rd day remove the skin slowly in the shower(to prevent any stains on clothing or carpet when excess ink falls out)

  • Use antibacterial soap with WARM water to clean the skin of any excess liquids left from the skin and then use COLD water to close the pores…

  • Let it air dry for an hour or so. (towels may contain germs and that may cause an infection) DO NOT USE A TOWEL TO DRY IT

  • After its dry then use the aftercare that we provide 3x a day for 2 weeks.

If you choose to use your own aftercare make sure you DO NOT use Aquaphor or A&D ointment or any “ointment”. That is for the “healing” of the tattoo which takes place the first 3 days IF you did not use second skin (second skin takes away the need for ointments and is much cleaner and safer)…

Healing Process

  • Use the aftercare that we provide 3x a day for 2 weeks.

  • Only use “non scented” lotion after the first 3 days if using your own aftercare (or any tattoo brand aftercare remove some of the ink which will affect the end result of the heal) if its very itchy slapping the area lightly may help.

  • Please be aware that the skin will have a process of healing, so there will be flaking, and itching and will lighten up a bit before darkening back up a little more…DO NOT pick off the flakes or scratch it because you may inadvertently

  • The skin takes roughly 47 days for the body to no longer recognize the tattoo as a foreign object and after that point it will look how it is meant to.

PLEASE BE PATIENT.

Special Attention

  • Remember to avoid the sun hitting the tattoo directly within the first 2 weeks and DO NOT submerge in water(ex: Pool or hot tub or bath) doing so may cause an undesirable reaction

  • Keep your tattoo moisturized as often as possible(dryness and the sun are the worst things for a fresh tattoo so keep that in mind)
